Position Summary:
As an Electrician at Design Electric, you’ll be a hands-on problem solver, technical expert, and team player contributing to the success of complex commercial electrical projects. Your work ensures our clients receive quality craftsmanship while upholding the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial environments
Interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to execute installations accurately
Collaborate with project leadership and team members to ensure timelines and quality standards are met
Mentor apprentices and helpers, creating a positive learning culture on the job site
Uphold and promote job site safety at all times—zero shortcuts, zero compromises
Manage tools, equipment, and materials efficiently and responsibly
Adapt to challenges with professionalism and a problem-solving mindset
Must-Have Qualifications:
4-6 years of hands-on electrical experience
Proven ability to install and troubleshoot electrical systems with minimal oversight
Strong working knowledge of the NEC and OSHA safety practices
Ability to interpret blueprints, plans, and schematics
Physical ability to meet the demands of the job (climbing, lifting, working outdoors, etc.)
A positive attitude, dependability, and the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Active Journeyman Electrician License
Prior experience with commercial electrical projects
Experience leading or mentoring crews

Compensation: $34-$38Position Summary
The Special Projects Supervisor plays a critical role in leading, coordinating, and executing small to mid-sized commercial and industrial electrical projects that require a high level of precision, customer focus, and adaptability. They are responsible for overseeing special projects from planning to completion including ordering materials, billings, take-offs and visiting clients. This position is ideal for an experienced Foreman who excels at managing fast-turnaround, high-visibility, or technically complex work within active facilities or customer-occupied environments. The Special Projects Supervisor will oversee daily operations, ensure safety and quality standards, and maintain strong communication between field teams, clients, and leadership. This role demands hands-on leadership, solid technical expertise, and the ability to 'get it done' while embodying our core values of Safety, Humble but Confident, Collaboration, Innovation, and Gets It Done.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
Lead small to mid-sized electrical projects from start to completion.
Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment needs with Special Projects Manager.
Forecast manpower requirements at least two weeks in advance and communicate with Mentorship Director as needed.
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract documents and codes.
Serve as the primary field contact for project-related communication and problem-solving.
Read, interpret, and apply contract drawings, specifications, and change orders.
Plan, schedule, and oversee daily jobsite activities including layout, installations, and quality control.
Supervise, train, and motivate crews of electricians and helpers.
Ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards with teams.
Manage material procurement, equipment tracking, and long-lead item coordination with teams.
Ensure completion of daily reports, STA reports, and manpower production tracking.
Ensure completion of job briefings, safety meetings, and attend weekly coordination meetings.
Collaborate with General Contractors, engineers, and clients to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.
Provide feedback to teams regarding schedule impacts, change orders, and field conditions.
Identify and estimate projects.
Technical Competence
Maintain strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and construction safety standards.
Demonstrate proficiency in all phases of commercial electrical installation, including lighting control, fire alarm, grounding, and switchgear.
Use company-provided technology (iPad, mobile apps) for reporting, time entry, and productivity tracking.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a Foreman or Leadman role.
Current Journeyman or Master Electrician license required.
Proven ability to lead small project teams and coordinate multiple short-duration projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to interpret electrical plans, specifications, and schedules.
Experience working in customer-occupied facilities, healthcare, or critical environments preferred.
Valid company acceptable driver’s license required.
