2026 Harrisonburg Police Foundation Golf Tournament

At Design Electric, we believe strong communities are built through meaningful partnerships and support for the organizations that make a difference every day. That's why we were proud to serve as a sponsor of the 6th Golf Tournament benefiting the Harrisonburg Police Foundation.

The tournament brought together local businesses, community members, and supporters for a great day on the course while raising awareness and support for the Foundation's mission. The Harrisonburg Police Foundation works to strengthen positive relationships between the police department and the community while helping fund projects and initiatives that fall outside of traditional budget resources.

2026 Hard Hats with Heart

We're proud to support the American Heart Association's Hard Hats with Heart initiative, which brings together construction industry professionals around the shared goals of health, education, and prevention. Through programs that promote heart health awareness and provide valuable resources for workers and their families, Hard Hats with Heart helps strengthen both our workforce and our communities. We're honored to stand alongside other industry partners in supporting an initiative that encourages healthier lives and a stronger future for the people who power our industry. Hard Hats with Heart is designed to improve cardiovascular health and well-being across the construction industry through education, prevention, and community engagement.

2025 MS Society Dinner of Champions: Harrisonburg

Our team was proud to attend and help sponsor the Dinner of Champions — a powerful evening that raised $100,000 in a single night to support MS (Multiple Sclerosis) research and move us closer to a cure.

Supporting Education

We had fun participating in North Branch School’s annual Golf Classic! By supporting this event, we helped invest in a local school that fosters collaboration, environmental responsibility, and hands-on learning for students in grades Pre-K through 8. When kids succeed, our communities succeed — we’re glad to play a small role in that journey.

Empowering a Farmer-Focused Nonprofit

Our team helped a local non-profit that supports our farmers, tackle electrical needs at their Massie’s Mill headquarters. This fun project not only involved typical electrical work like running wire and conduit, and installing new outlets and fixtures, it also included revamping the building’s original sign.

5th Street Community Garden: Charlottesville

Collaborating with The International Rescue Committee/New Roots, Building Goodness, and Bike & Build, we completed the 5th Street Community Garden Project! This garden not only supports food security but also offers a haven for local refugees to cultivate crops from their native lands, enabling them to preserve a feeling of home and cultural attachment. We are grateful to be a part of such a positive initiative in our community.
